It is very important to us that you understand what steps we take to
protect your privacy and assure the security of information you
share with us.
Sharing of Information
We never share any of the information you provide us with
any other organization. Period! If your order was
placed with a travel agent, only that agent and Renault will have
access to your information.
What do we do with your Information?
We use the
data you enter to process your order. Credit card information
is encrypted and never stored in easily readable format. We
will use either your email address or postal address to send you the
contract and relevant documentation. We may call you to remind
you of important deadlines. We may also send out a quarterly
newsletter by email.
How
secure is my data?
Very secure.
First of all, our data center uses state-of-the-art security
features such as: video surveillance monitoring all access points,
onsite server engineers monitoring 24x7x365, restricted keycard
access, camera-recorded server room access. Only certified
server engineers have access to the web server.
Our
office building is staffed by a security desk in the lobby 24 hours
a day. Our office is locked after hours. All personal
computers require multiple levels of passwords. Our systems
keep an audit trail of which user accessed which data.
What about my Credit Card Information?
Credit card
information is encrypted and transmitted via secure socket layers (SSL).
You will see the little lock on the bottom right of your browser
window. We use only well-established and recognized companies
to authorize your credit card (see Verisign Certificate when placing
your order).
Can
I Opt Out of your Mailing List?
Of course.
Our intent is only to notify you quarterly of upcoming specials, new
Renault models, etc. But if you prefer not to receive our
e-newsletters, you can do any of the following: follow the
"unsubscribe" link on the bottom of each e-newsletter, call us at
any of the numbers below, fax us, or email us. All the contact
information may be found at the bottom of this page.
Do
you plant "Cookies" on my PC?
Sometimes.
But we never plant third-party cookies, only our own. We may
need to track whether you arrived at our site from an affiliate
site. We may also want to know
what browser you use, so as to optimize the page for your needs. We do not gather any
marketing information and we certainly never share any of your
information with anyone else.
How
do I Correct or Update my Information?
When you
place an order with us, you are assigned a "personal" agent.
You will receive an email with his/her contact information (email
address, phone number and extension, fax number, etc.). Of
course, any agent will be happy to assist you at any of the numbers
below. In addition, you may use the "Request Info" button on
the left to notify us of any changes or updates.
